The man who was sentenced to life in prison for the death of 2023 during the armed robbery, says Gwinnett County there

Atlanta, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man was sentenced to a lifelong prison sentence that led to the death of another robber, said Gwinnett County's attorney.

The prosecutor said that Geno Gerard Hall Jr., 22, and two other men broke into a house in Stone Mountain on April 23, 2023 and tried to steal money from the homeowner.

The homeowner grabbed his weapon and shot another robber, Leon van Summers Jr., into his chest. The summer died at the scene.

According to the district lawyer, the father of Summers said that Hall said to him: “We tried to hit a lick, it went south, shots were fired and everyone ran.”

Hall was condemned for murder, home vasion, serious bodily harm and possession of a firearm during the inspection of a crime. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and five years of probation. The other survivor accused will be brought to court at a later date.
