Ohio man because of hit-and-run crash, in which pregnant woman was killed on US-23

A pregnant mother of three children is dead and a man from Ohio is accused of causing this tragedy.

Hunter Suto faced a judge in a courtroom by Monroe County, who was accused of ruthless, dangerous, death and abandoned of the scene. Kaitlyn Ellison killed the crash last Saturday at 10 p.m.

The background story:

“He fled out of the accident scene, he is a resident outside the state. Obviously, the concern for the security of the public is undeniable,” said Jahn Landis, deputy prosecutor.

The Whiteford Township volunteer fire brigade tried to save 32-year-old Kaitlyn Ellison from Petersburg, Michigan.

The sole mother of three children was pregnant at the time of the crash, but died of her injuries.

Landis cited eyewitness statements to Suto's high speed and ruthless driving to US-23.

“(He) passed the right shoulder several times before colliding with the rear of the opaque vehicle at a speed of more than 100 miles per hour,” he said.

Suto from Ohio is 24 years old and after the crash the police tried to flee.

“The accused then fled out of his car. The only door operated was the driver's door,” said Landis. “And (he) went and went up from the accident ramp and tried to hide at the pilot station.”

And despite the fact that the defendant has no previous criminal history, a veteran of the Navy with an honorable discharge, the judge made a very high bond.

“The bond is half cash or the guarantee of 1 million US dollars,” said judge Michael Brown, District Monroe.

He will be back to court on May 27 and will carry out a preliminary exam on June 3. However, the prosecutor said – expect them more as soon as the toxicological reports are back from the laboratory.

“We have a unit for victim services that spoke to the family, and it goes without saying that they are destroyed,” said Sheriff Troy Goodnough. “There are much more of the story that I am sure over time that everything will come out.”
