Detroit Tigers put starter on the injured list

play

Detroit Tigers started the Pitcher Reese Olson after six innings because of a painful right ring finger on May 17th.

About 48 hours later, the Tiger placed him on the injured list on May 19, retrospectively until the day before with right finger infection.

For this reason, the Club Reliever Chase Lee calls and announced that Jack Flaherty will start on Thursday, May 22nd against Cleveland.

It is never good news to get a pitcher out of the line -up, but the tigers are not excessively concerned that this is a long -term problem.

At the moment we know that Olson will miss his next start. As Hinch noticed, it will be difficult to avoid an IL stay if a jug does not make any regularly planned starts. And the tigers only have a day on May 29.

“As soon as we found that Reese would not make his next start, a whole series of decision points created for us, and we have it exactly against the game,” said Hintch Monday.

In the meantime, the Tigers will start on Monday, May 19, in St. Louis in St. Louis and then a series with four games against Cleveland home to the travel.

Without Olson, the Tiger Lee call for additional bullpen help. And because Olson will miss his start on May 22nd and does not want to throw Bullpen game to open a four-game tendency with Cleveland, he pushes Jack Flahery's start from May 21st.

The tigers will use a bullpen from May 21. Sean Guenther begins on May 19.
