Community mourns the loss of the lover business owner in Great Falls

“I met Sarah when she switched to Great if she moved and opened the tattoo salon for Central,” said Tony Peres, a long -time friend and client. “Not only was she good – she was a master of her craft. Powerful, grounded and without fear of being exactly what she was.”

A disorder became fatal

According to Lt. Matt Fleming from the Great Police Department of Great Falls reacted to a report on a report on a disturbance near the Roberts Apartments in 6th Street South.

An undesirable woman who was later identified as a Kelsey Staigmiller was excluded from the building and allegedly had problems for several residents.

“The first call was vague,” said Fleming. “Only that there was an unwanted woman on site. She did not live there, but tried to get back in.”

When the situation escalated, events took a disturbing turn.

“At some point during the disorder,” continued Fleming, “Staigmiller entered a vehicle that was driven by a local business owner – someone that she did not know. The car then raced irregularly. The owner of the vehicle suffered injuries that led tragically to her death.”

There was an argument between them in the vehicle, which led to the fact that the vehicle moved “very dangerous and unpredictable” than the two fought.

Bailey suffered injuries that led to her death; Your body was found near the crossing of the First Avenue North and the Fifth Street.

Suspect in custody

Staigmiller is currently being held in Missoula County for charges for the incident in Great Fall. Further fees can follow if detectives continue to collect evidence and eyewitness accounts.

“We received a lot of help from the public,” said Fleming. “Many people have seen the vehicle that left the area at high speed. Our detectives pursue eyewitnesses, and further details are passed on as soon as they are available.”

A community in shock

Business owners in the area described the scene as chaotic and deeply disturbing.

“At first people thought it was a hit-and-run,” said Grady Costello, owner of Fire Pizza nearby. “Then we heard that the police were already here, fire engines were here and they set up a scope. It all happened so quickly.” Costello said the trauma of the event left a traces in the city center.

“These provisions are hit in autopsy,” said Lt. Fleming. “This process is still pending.”
