Yorkshire Water is investing 16 million pounds in reducing leakage From its clean water network this year like it tries to achieve a reduction of 15% by 2030 and secure future water supply.

Karen Atkinson, Manager for Leckage Deduction at Yorkshire Water, said: “The number of leaks in our network for clean water is really important for us and for our customers if we work towards a future with safe water supply.

“We are on the right track to achieve our goal between 2020 and 2025 by 15%, but we are already looking beyond and would like to reduce it by a further 12.7% by 2030.”

The investment is the first stage in a plan to reduce GBP 38 million in the next five yearswho tries to improve water protection and efficiency.
