Guardians-Twins game through rain; Planned to resume Tuesday

Note from the publisher: The game between the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins on May 19 was suspended by rain. The game is to be resumed on Tuesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. And the twins 2: 1.

It is common for every team try to recover from a loss.

The Minnesota twins know the feeling, although it could be a little unknown. Minnesota will try to recover from his first loss since May 2, when the Cleveland Guardians welcomed to start a series with three games in Minneapolis on Monday evening.

The twins ended their 13-game winning shop with a defeat of 5: 2 against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon. Royce Lewis almost met Homerun, was robbed in eighth place by Brewers Center, Jackson Chourio, from Brewers Center, Jackson Chourio.

Now the twins will return home to take over a top rival in the guards.

“An astonishing run in the past two weeks,” said Twins manager Rocco Baldelli. “I had to tell the boys after the game [Sunday].

“There is a lot to do, and I told them that we only scratch the surface so far that we are capable of this year. This was just a great baseball run. One of the best two-week baseball measurements that I have ever been part of in my life.”

In the meantime, Cleveland endeavors to make a defeat against four games if she travels north.

The guards want to recover from the three-game series against the host Cincinnati Reds, including 3-1 on Sunday. Cleveland previously lost his series finale against the Brewers last Wednesday.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said that he feels good with his team when it traveled north for a series against the twins.

“I thought our pitching was all weekend outside of some Homerun balls,” said Vogt. “I think that was really the story of the weekend. You have a few big hits and we didn't do it. Frustrating weekend, undoubtedly. Three games that you could have won what you didn't do.”

The left -hander from Cleveland Logan Allen (2: 2, 3.70 ERA) will try to grab his team's skid. Everyone would like to build on one of his best starts of the season, in which he limited the brewers to three goals in six innings on Tuesday for a 2-0 victory to zero runs.

All of them took three starts against the twins in his career. He is 2-0 with an ERA of 2.04 in these starts and he triggered 14 batteries in 17⅔ Innerings.

Minnesota is counted in the serial opener with the right-handed Bailey Ober (4-1, 3.72). Obert is consecutive no-decision, but since the loss of the season start against the St. Louis Cardinals on March 30th.

The 29-year-old upper in the season has 40 strikes in 48⅓ Innerings. He is 3: 2 with an ERA of 2.05 in nine career against the guardians.

The twins hope that Lewis, who missed more than a month for more than a month because of a spring training injury (left knee tendon), to see more progress on the plate. Lewis banged a solo homer on Sunday, but chose himself that he did not help the team maintain his winning streak.

Baldelli said Lewis was in the right direction.

“He rounds himself into shape,” said Baldelli. “He looks really twitching on the plate. The bat looks like it really whistles through the zone. I think he feels good when he judges his manners and fluctuations.”
