Who has the best chances of winning 2025 NBA Finals MVP?

For all players, Charlie Cummings breaks down the chances of winning the NBA final MVP for Draftking's Sportsbook.

With the Oklahoma City Thunder, who defeated the Denver Nuggets in game 7 on Sunday, the last four of the NBA playoffs have come to the center. OKC meets the Minnesota Timberwolves to represent the West while the New York Knicks will compete against the Indiana Pacers in the east. Let's take a look at who has the best chance of winning the NBA final 2025 MVP:

The favorite

It is not surprising that the thunder is the title favorite. This 68-win squad in Oklahoma City feels difficult to stop after passing a difficult test against Denver. The other two 60-team teams, Cleveland and Boston met in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference with short destinations. It is only teams that OKC was undeniable better than in the picture. It has earned the -145 lines for the Draftking Sportsbook.

If Oklahoma City won, it would be a shock if someone other than Shai Gilgeous-Alexander would take the hardware home with them. It is rare for everyone other than the best player in the team to win it. If this player does not appear according to his standard, this usually means that your team does not win everything. I think Jalen Williams is a worthy hedge if they are convinced that OKC can no longer be stopped. If you come from the east, you have to be sold out to stop Gilgeous-Alexander, and Williams could have a few big nights.

Best from the rest

The rest of the field is interesting. As a home team in the final of the Eastern Conference, New York gets a light price edge of the series over the Pacers. These projects to be a dog of a series, and for my money I would expect Indiana to run through. If you believe that these Ostteams can beat Oklahoma City, the Indiana players have a value. Tyrese Haliburton is the most sensible as the best player of the Pacers. But it is not perceived as a real alpha type No. 1. Some huge games from Pascal Siakam could swing the award in his favor.

Anthony Edwards' Line also fascinates me. I would consider Minnesota to be the second best team in the field. They suffer from the accident to play the best. But if it can survive thunder without any significant injuries, I would expect that I would be the final favorites. This would make Edwards an overwhelming favorite to win the award.

The thunder is rightly the overwhelming favorites to win this championship over the field. But if you have doubts about the Nugget's doubts after a series with seven games, there is a value to have the top boys in other teams on the board.
