San Francisquito Canyon Road, which is blocked by crash with several vehicles

Update: A member of the Sheriff department of Los Angeles County died on Monday afternoon on Monday afternoon after the San Francisquito Canyon Road crashed.

The MP joined the department on May 2, 2024 and was assigned to the Casty County after the Academy of the Lasd civil servants in Castaic.

“His commitment to public security was not just a job- it was who he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends and everyone who knew him,” read an explanation of the department.

Sources for KHTS identified the deputy, who was killed as Deputy Daniel Valencia-Chavira, a 21-year-old who had just celebrated his first year with the department.

The California Highway Patrol examines the cause of the collision.

UPDATE: 6:56 p.m.: The California Highway Patrol made an explanation that is partly called: “One of the parties involved, a service-free MP of the Sheriff department of Los Angeles County, suffered critical injuries and was flown to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital with the helicopter, where he later succumbed to his injuries.”

CHP confirmed that three vehicles with serious damage were involved in the crash.

The other injured people were brought to Henry Mayo Hospital for medical treatment by ambulance.

The cause of this crash continues to be examined.

“We are deeply sad about the loss of this MP, our thoughts are with his family, friends and the entire Sheriff Department of the Los Angeles County in this incredibly difficult time. We honor his service and his commitment to our community,” said captain EA Krusey with CHP.

Update 6:15 p.m.: According to the deputy Cerna of the Lasd Sheriff Information Bureau, the person who was flown to the hospital is a deputy of the sheriff department in Los Angeles County.

A crash with several vehicles blocked the San Francisquito Canyon Road on Monday afternoon.
