Palm Springs Bomber may have posted videos of explosion tests – NBC Los Angeles

The authorities who examined the man's online footprint, which was suspected of detonating a large bomb in a reproduction center in Palm Springs, said on Monday that video recordings of tests of various homemade explosives on YouTube -were published months before the explosion of the weekend explosion.

Several law enforcement sources stated that the videos were connected to the 25-year-old Guy Bartkus, which was identified by the FBI as a bomber and was killed in the explosion on Saturday.

A recording shows a large explosion in a desert scene played at real -time speed, and then repeated in slow motion.

Another video shows a close -up of an explosive mix that is marked with the chemical connection and its explosive weight. The YouTube account was deactivated and the videos are no longer displayed online.

The username of the previous report, “anictevolution”, appears in several other other profiles connected to Bartkus, including social media platforms and in news that have been published in a variety of online forums.

The chief of police from Palm Springs, Andy Mills, said MSNBC that Bartkus was not on the law enforcement agency's radar before the bombings, and said that they should have reported to the public who had seen his messages or videos of explosions.

FBI investigators are looking for an explosion in Palm Springs for information at the weekend. Lauren Coronado reports on May 19, 2025 at 6 a.m. for the NBC4 News.

“The mantra, see something, say something that has been going on for years, but I want to go one step further: If you see it, you have it,” said Mills on Monday.

“When a person sees someone in a chat room who talks about such things and suicide transactions and uses explosives to chase things into the air when they see it and have not reported it, it is as if they were morally part of it,” he said.

The FBI said it also examined an audio recording that is published on a website that seems to be Bartkus, which explains its reasons for the life and alignment of a fertility clinic.

The father of the 25-year-old man, who suspected the explosion near a fertility clinic in Palm Springs at the weekend, said that his son was “subjected to brainwashing”. Christian Cazares reports for NBC4 at 5 p.m. on May 19, 2025.
