The examination continues in Mexico after a Tikok Influencer was shot by a beauty salon on May 13th.

Until Thursday, May 15th, no suspects were named in the death of 23-year-old Valeria Marquez. The public prosecutor's office of the Jalalco Prosecutor's office clarified two days after the murder in a press release after rumors swung on social media and claimed who was possibly involved. All videos and statements on social media are analyzed and examined, added civil servants.

Marquez 'death is still being examined as a female, the murder of a woman or a girl because of her gender.

Marquez was in the beauty salon in western Zapopan, a city in the Mexican state of Jalisco, when a man entered the business and shot her, the public prosecutor said in a first explanation.

Both the municipal police officers and the paramedics reacted to the scene and confirmed that Marquez had died, the prosecutors said.

The Mexico security cabinet will work with prosecutors to find the person responsible and a motive for Marquez 'death, President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Thursday in a press conference.

“Obviously we express solidarity with the family in this unfortunate situation,” said Sheinbaum.

A man fatally shot a 23-year-old Mexican Tikok Influencer, Valeria Marquez while she was live streaming.

What happened to Valeria Marquez?

Marquez often shared photos of himself, modeling and traveling. She also worked in the beauty salon in which she was killed, reported Reuters.

According to Outlet, Marquez used to say live streaming that someone came to the salon while she was outside. The person had an expensive gift for her and she seemed to be worried. She said she didn't wait for the person to return.

Shortly before she was killed, Marquez held a stuffed toy and said: “You are coming.”

One voice said: “Hey, Vale”, whereupon Marquez replied “yes” and confirmed her identity. She then agreed with the live stream. Shortly afterwards she was shot.

Someone reached for their phone, which appeared on the screen shortly before the end of the stream, reported Reuters.

What is femicide?

Prosecutors said the case was being examined as a female case, sometimes referred to as feminicida.

Femicide is the murder of women and girls due to their gender, according to the European Institute for Equality of Gender.

According to the institute, female occurs when women are murdered due to violence in the intimate partner who were killed in the name of honor, killed in connection with Dowries, because of their sexual orientation and in other scenarios.

Femicides were also associated with gangs, organized crimes, drug dealers, human trafficking and the spread of small weapons, said the institute.
