Boca Raton Teen killed hours after graduating from Martin County I-95

The family of one of the victims of the fatal crash I-95 in Martin County identified him as Hendry Aceituno Gudiño.

On Saturday, May 17th, a few hours after completing the Boca Raton High School, the 18-year-old Aceituno was involved in a single car accident.

WPTVS Zitlali Solache spoke exclusively with Aceituno's mother Anielka Gudiño. She said Aceituno drove home with his girlfriend and father from a solemn dinner.

“It is a tragic death and I think nobody deserves to die like this,” said Gudiño. “Very painful. Everything is painful. A teenage full of life, 18 years old. He had a whole life in front of him.”

Aceituno and his girlfriend's father, whose name was not published, both were declared dead at the scene.

His girlfriend was taken to the hospital with non -life -threatening injuries.

The von Aiqueuno family has launched a Gofundme page to support the costs of funeral regulations and to relieve financial pressure from his single mother during this unthinkable time.

Gudiño and his mother moved from Venkuela to Florida in 2023 with so much hope.

“I will miss him so much,” said Gudiño. “It was he and me. It will be so difficult for me.”

Gudiño and friends of Aceituno describe him as friendly, hardworking and full of love.

“Unfortunately, he left this world,” said Angel Espulge. “But we thank God that we could get to know him.”

The Boca Raton High School sent an e -mail to the parents and the faculty of the students, who said: “We are a community that supports each other. Together we will navigate this difficult time.”

Due to grief, Gudiño asks others to remember a message.

“Be careful. Drive responsibly. Be careful,” said Gudiño. “It's not just your life, it is also the people with you.”

The support for grief, including school advisors and school psychologists, are on campus.
