Indianapolis (Wish)-A 45-year-old Indianapolis man was sentenced to 110 years in prison on Monday for a double murder in 2023.

Shawn Barnett (23) and Larry Moorman (42) died shortly before January 12, 2023 at the crime scene in the 200 Block of Walcott Street. This is located in a residential area in the city center near the intersection of East Ohio Street and the North Walcott Street.

The 45 -year -old Jermaine Randle was convicted after a jury found him guilty for two murder cases on April 2 in front of Marion Superior Court 7.

The Democrat, the public prosecutor of Marion County, wrote in a press release published on Monday: “The accused will spend more than a century behind bars for the non -provoked tragedy that he has added to these men and their families. In this case, the difference between our witnesses for Larry and Shawn was in this case.”

A witness immediately identified Randle as the suspect and described the vehicle he drove. According to the witness, the screaming of an apartment was heard, followed by several shots, and a man was seen as he fled the steps before Randle's vehicle withdrew. Other witnesses confirmed the identification of the vehicle, the Randle arrived earlier and fled from the scene. The officers used the cameras with license plates to find Randle's vehicle just a few hours after the shootout near West 79th Street and the North Michigan Road, which led to the arrest of Randle.
