Texas Rangers Fire offensive coordinator as a team fights to achieve runs

The Texas Rangers released offensive coordinator Donnie Ecker, the team said on Sunday.

Ecker was with the Rangers in his fourth season and has been a coach since the 2021 season and was a member of the 2023 team who won her first World Series in Franchise history.

The team's offensive has to struggle this season and scored only twice more than two runs in the lower 10 goals (No. 26), Runs (No. 29) and average (No. 26) and in the last 10 games, including an 8-1 win on Sunday against Seattle Mariners.

In an explanation, the President of Baseball Operations Chris Young Ecker thanked the team for his time, but said it was time to change.

“After protracted discussions and considerations, we now believe that it is the right time to offer our thugs a new voice, while we pursue goals, win the department and reach the late season,” said Young. “We are very grateful for everything he has achieved here with the Rangers, including his role in the championship of the World Series 2023 of the club. We wish him all the best.”

The team is expected to deal with the structure of the club's beating staff in the coming days.
