The accused professor had silenced critics in 2018

The case with the alleged sale of a Master diploma through (AQ), a professor at IBN ZOHR University in Agadir, has triggered widespread controversy and conviction. On Tuesday, May 13th, the investigative judge at the Marrakech Court of Appeal ordered the professor in the Luddaya prison in connection with the case.

The accused, who is also a prominent personality in the constitutional union party, had previously filed a lawsuit against another professor at the same university in 2018. The lawsuit was followed by a social media post in which suspicious practices were referred to selling Master's degrees. At that time, the court decided to pay a fine of 30,000 dirhams, including legal costs and enforcement fees, in favor of the professor, who condemned the professor behind the office. In addition, the court awarded the plaintiff's compensation of 1 million dirham after being sued for defamation and defamation on social media.

After this decision, the public discussion about the alleged diploma sales calmed down – until the topic reappeared in 2021. After the arrest of a notary, the controversy was relieved during the survey, the notary admitted to having received a master's degree from the Faculty of Law of IBN ZOHR University without taking courses or sitting according to exams.

His certificate prompted a number of investigations that ultimately led to the arrest of the main suspect: the coordinator of the master's program for crime systems and security government »at the faculty. Several other people are also involved, but remain at large, including the professor's wife, the lawyer, his son, a lawyer for trainees, chief writer of the Safi main court and several other legal professions.
