Toledo man arrested for crash

Toledo, Ohio (WTVG) -A man of Toledo is behind bars, who is accused of causing an accident in October 2024, in which his passenger killed and three more were taken to the hospital.

The Toledo police arrested 35 -year -old Steven Wallace to an arrest warrant on Saturday afternoon. He was charged in Lucas County in connection with a number of charges in connection with a crash on October 4th in Toledo.

According to the police, four people, including a two-year-old, were taken to the hospital in the crash in the South Avenue near the I-75 overpass.

According to the accident report, Wallace's vehicle drove from the middle to the left and beat another car, a curb and a pole before leafing into a ditch. Both Wallace and his passenger, the 35-year-old Juan Espinosa, were ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious injuries, TPD said at that time.

According to the TPD, Espinosa died of his injuries days later in a regional hospital.

According to Wallace's indictment, he will face the following charges:

  2. Heavy vehicle murder – ruthless
  3. Involuntary homicide
  4. Ovi
  5. Ovi

Wallace is to be charged in Lucas County on Wednesday morning.
