Jake narrowly misses the right PGA Tour value record, ends with 59

History is possible every day on the PGA tour. Jake Knapp has proven that on Thursday afternoon in the Cognizant Classic, when he was carding a 59 -year -old, a blow to the PGA Tour record.

His day started his day at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens with five direct birdies and had a total of eleven birdies in the last two holes. His birdie Putt on the 17th ran out and cost him a chance of a PGA tour record 57. Then he had an 18-foot 8-inch eagle put for 58 to 18. This putt rose just right and just typed for a 59.

Knapps 59 comes on one of the more difficult courses on the PGA tour. In 2024, the Champion course at PGA National took 18th place of 42 per PGA tour statistics. The previous course record was 61, was laid down by Brian Harman in 2012 and bound by Matt Jones in 2021.
