1 child killed, 2 brought to the hospital in the accident with a vehicle on the Bluff Springs Road

A child was declared dead and two people were brought to the TJ Samson Community Hospital after a vehicle crashed on the Bluff Springs Road in Barren County.

The Kentucky State Police said they received a call from the sheriff office of the Barren County on May 19 at 12 noon. A preliminary investigation by the state police shows that Honda Odyssey from 2015 was on the Bluff Springs Road to the west when she collided with a wooden fence and a tree line from the street.

“Two passengers were brought to the TJ Samson Community Hospital, where they are treated for their injuries,” says a press release from the state police. “Tragically, a passenger child at the crime scene was pronounced by the forensic doctor in Barren County.”

The examination is not completed and directed by Detective Bo Hubbard. The Kentucky State Police was supported by the Sheriff's Office of the Barren County, Barren County Ems, the Barren County Coroner's Office, on site
