Highlights from New Te Caleb Lohner

The Denver Broncos used their final election (241st total place) in the NFL design of 2025 to select the close end of the University of Utah Caleb Lohner Last Saturday.

Lohner (6-7, 256 pounds) became a two-sport athlete in Utah in 2025 when he played basketball and football for the UTES. Lohner played in college in three BIG 12 schools for basketball: The Byu Cougars, Baylor Bears and Utah. Lohner came from the bank mostly in basketball, but played his only year of football in 2024.

In 2024, Lohmner only caught four passes for 56 yards and four touchdowns. You read this correctly, all four catches from Lohner have chosen touchdowns. Perhaps the Broncos were impressed by its size. Coach Sean Payton believes that he could become a new threat to the quarterback for the quarterback BO.

Although Denvers most recent history of the draft ended at the narrow end according to plan (Greg Dulcich in the NFL design of 2022, Albert Okwuegbunam in the NFL design of 2020), the team hopes that Lohner can develop it at an NFL-caliber eneng end. As a selection of the seventh round, it is a low -risk, high view.

There is a precedent for tight ends that have previously played basketball, including the 2025 Hall of Fame Induician Antonio Gates. Hopefully the Broncos will see a great game by the former basketball player.
