US marshals lead Operation Neon summer 2025 to combat violent crimes in NEA

Jonesboro, Ar- (Jonesbororightnow.com) -20. May 2025-the-American marshals Eastern Arkansa's fugitive task force have put together with the local law enforcement authorities in a four-day initiative, which referred to as Operation Neon Summer 2025, which aimed at aiming for violence in the counties of Craighead and critters.

The operation, which lasted from May 13th to 16th, focused on people who were involved in gang activities, illegal firearm ownership, drug trafficking and sexual offenses. According to a press release from the US marshal service during operation:

  • 28 arrests were made
  • 32 arrest commands were cleared
  • 4 firearms were confiscated
  • 965.5 grams of marijuana were confiscated
  • 109.7 grams of methamphetamine were won
  • 3.3 grams of fentanyl were confiscated
  • 31 ecstasy pills were collected

“This is more than just arrests – it is a coordinated effort to suppress crime and take violent criminals off the streets and heal and grow the communities,” said Cory Harris, the US marshal for the eastern district of Arkansas, in a press release.

Partnership authorities were the police authority of Jonesboro, the Arkansas State Police, the Sheriff office of the Craighead County, the office of the sheriff of critting County, the West Memphis Police Authority, the Marion Police Department, the 2nd Justice Drug -sk Force, the investigations for the safety of Heimateland.

“Operation Neon Summer is about acting directly against the people who do the greatest damage in our communities,” said Erik Johnson, deputy US marshal in a press release. “The fugitive task force in Easternarkansas is proud to lead this operation together with our local and state partners in order to restore security and stability.”
