Fort Bliss Soldier killed in ENT 601 in El Paso

A Fort Bliss soldier was identified as the person who was killed in an accident with a single vehicle on the trail of 601 Liberty Expressway in El Paso.

US Army SPC. The 24 -year -old Austin Rhodes died on Monday, May 19th, at Gaue 601 next to the airfield of the Biggs Army in Fort Bliss, Maj. Arturo “Art” Rodriguez, a spokesman for the army post, in an e -mail.

Rhodes was a fire brigade operator of Patriot surface-air rocket system with the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 32nd Army Air and Raksie Defense Command, explained Rodriguez.

“Fort Bliss expresses her deepest condolences to the soldier's family,” added Rodriguez.

The crash is examined by the El Paso Police Special Traffic Investigations Unit. The publication of other details in the fatal crash is pending.
