Alan Titschmarsh shares the seesaw with four words to keep it on the floor | TV & radio | Showbiz & TV

Despite Alan Titschmarsh's reputation as one of the “sexiest men on television”, his 50 -year -old woman, the retired doctor Alison, does not let fame go into his head. In fact, he confessed that after five decades she released him together as “only her little gardener”.

Alan's lifestyle could now be no different from what he had when the couple met in an amateur drama group in 1975 – but he insists that, despite an estimated net assets of over £ 10 million, he hardly changed. In his last interview he told Saga Magazine: “We are still the people we were when we got married. I hope my head was not turned.” The couple focuses on family life in their Georgian farmhouse in Hampshire and a house by the sea on the Isle of Wight.

They also met Camilla and Polly with their two adult daughters – and are grounded enough to take unusual fan encounters in their steps.

An overzealous man grabbed Alan's arm in a restaurant and exclaimed: “Now I have you!” Just when he and Alison wanted to eat.

“[That was] That one time when I almost lost … my fork was halfway to my mouth. It was difficult to keep my cool, “he admitted.

There was another opportunity in an airplane when the TV garden expert was not serving and it did not estimate that he was interrogated how to take care of a tomato stain.

“I was so grumpy in a plane when the woman came down and wanted to know: 'What's going on with my tomatoes?'” He recalled.

“I said, 'Well, I can't tell it from here.' She said, 'It is not necessary to be like that!' “

On most occasions, however, the encounters with fans are stress -free and Alan approaches them with a more gracious attitude and remembers: “You bought our house!”

The Chelsea Flower Show Fave recently received a CBE from King Charles and says that the award – just like his “Sexiest Mann” prices – “beyond faith was flattering”.
