Man in the Woodstock crash killed on Tuesday – Shaw Local

A man was killed in an accident in Woodstock on Tuesday morning.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was called in the 13600 block of the Kishwaukee Valley Road in Woodstock on Tuesday at 7:51 a.m., said Alex Vucha, spokesman for Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.

When they arrived, the crews found a “badly damaged pickup off the road to a tree in the courtyard of a residence,” said Vucha.

The paramedics quickly found the man that the pickup “had succumbed to his injuries”, and he was declared dead at the scene, said Vucha.

The man was the only person in the truck; First aiders identified no additional dangers and firefighters clarified the scene at 8:15 a.m., said Vucha.

The area was opened again around 1:30 p.m., said Vucha.

With the support of the Mchenry County Regional Major Crash Assistance Team (McAT), the Woodstock Police Department is examining the circumstances of the crash, said Vucha.

The name of the deceased was not published.
