APD publishes Body CAM video about the officer that has included the people in a wheelchair in Sustin

Austin's police published on Tuesday with the camera -worn camera video and the new information about a shooting incident, which took place last Saturday, in which a civil servant shot a man into a wheelchair who reported reported people with a weapon.

It happened on May 17th at 9:50 a.m. in the 1700 block of the West William Cannon Drive.

The officials answered several emergency calls who reported a man in a wheelchair with a black pistol in his lap. A caller reported that the man pointed a gun on her.

On arrival, officer Jackson observed the man, who was identified as a 45-year-old Danny Palomino, with the pistol and, after Palomino was able to stop the orders, fired shots when Palomino raised the gun on him.

Palomino was brought to South Austin Hospital, where he was declared dead. No other people or officers were injured in the incident.

Later Palomino was held in his hand.

During a press conference, Austin's police chief, Lisa Davis, said psychological problems in the past.

Officer Joshua Jackson, who fired six shots during the incident, was put in the administrative vacation per protocol of the department. Officer Jackson had served at APD for seven years and four months.

The Austin police authority conducts two simultaneous investigations: a criminal investigation with the public prosecutor's office of Travis County and an administrative investigation with surveillance of the Office for Police Supervision.
