RCMP examination after the shot Electric -Umspanwerk, the oil leak and power failure caused

An investigation is in progress after a power conversation was shot near the border of Alberta-Saskatchewan on Monday to spill oil and let thousands in the dark.

RCMP said they reacted to a firearm call at an ATCO conveyor tension in Lloydminster, a city that went beyond the provincial border.

They say that the facility was absorbed and a ball hit an oil tank, which more than 8,400 inhabitants moved to the increase in power supply and released about 20,000 liters of oil.

Preliminary estimates provide the costs of damage and environmental columns at around 1.1 million dollars.

The police also examine several break-ins that took place during the failure, but there is no evidence of a connection.

According to Amanda Matter, Vice President of Operations at ATCO ELECTRIC, the company has teamed up with an environmental management company in order to approach and alleviate all the effects.
