Alabama: Tornado on the floor in Madison and towards Huntsville | video

A large tornado was discovered west of Madison, Alabama, which triggered a Tornado emergency in several areas such as Huntsville and Athens.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has confirmed that this is a life -threatening situation in which harmful winds, two inches are at risk and over 412,000 people are at risk.

A tornado clock now also applies to parts of Alabama until 1 a.m. CDT according to NWS.

The emergency remains in force on Tuesday, May 20, until 6.45 p.m. CDT. Radar and video material confirm the presence of the tornado when it moves to the east through Northern Alabama. Officials ask the residents on the way to avert immediately, preferably in underground accommodations, as this is the highest level of tornado alarms. This depends on the fact that several warnings and live reports indicate a widespread influence in Northern Alabama.

This is a developing story.
