La County Armenian Crime Syndicate members who were arrested in the power struggle for the territory, says Doj

Federal agents arrested 13 alleged members of competing Armenian crime syndicate in an obvious power struggle in Los Angeles County, according to the US Ministry of Justice.

One of the more than a dozen people accused by federal lawyers included the alleged leaders of the two factions: Ara Artuni, 41 and Robert Amiryan, 46. According to the DOJ, the years of struggle for territory led to several attempts to murder and a kidnapping.

After several raids in La County and Südflorida, the police arrested three other men who were allegedly involved in the program: Vahan Harutyunyan, 50, from Hollywood, Florida; Levon Arakelyan, 45, from Las Vegas; and Ivan Bojorquez, 33.

If the men are convicted of all charges, they will have maximum convicts from 10 years to life in prison.

“Today's arrests reflect that my office and our law enforcement partners have undertaken to protect America by reducing transnational criminal organizations,” said Bill Essayli, the United States lawyer. “Let today's enforcement measures be a warning for criminals: Our communities are not their playground to operate violence and fight.”

The power struggle of Artuni and Armiryan began in 2022, while their syndicates, which are connected to the transnational Russian mafia, made a center of their US operations, according to the Doj La County.

The federal prosecutor accused Artuni of supposedly sanctioning the murder of Amiryan in the summer of 2023. According to the Doj, Amiryan is said to scrap with its members in June 2023.

The investigators also accuse the criminal company of Artuni, in the criminal complaint against him to have stolen worth more than 83 million US dollars. According to the Doj, the alleged program that aims at online retailers comes back at least 2021. Artunis employees allegedly provided as airlines for Amazon and steal all or part of their programs.

“This transnational criminal organization was operated by the structure and brutality of an international cartel, which causes public security to damage and legitimate trading and supply chains considerable damage,” said Dwayne, the deputy special representative is responsible for responsibility for home security examinations.
