George Wendt death: 'cheers' stars pay tribute

Hollywood and many of George Wendts's former co-stars appreciate the actor after the news of his death was announced on Tuesday.

Wendt died peacefully at home, his family confirmed on Tuesday morning. He was 76.

“George was a priced family man, a popular friend and confidante of anyone who is lucky enough to know him,” said a representative of Wendt in a statement. “He will be missing forever. The family has requested privacy during this time.”

Wendt had an incredible career as an actor who was loved for his leading role as a norm in Peterson in all eleven seasons of the NBC sitcom Cheek.
