MLB Scores: Red Sox 2, Mets 0 – Woof

If you hoped to break out the bats of the meters from your latest discomfort, her night was not your night tonight. Despite the good excursion they got from Clay Holmes, solid work from the bullpen and a few defensive gemstones, the Mets did not make any hits and lost 2-0 against Red Sox.

And it is not as if they have no opportunity to get things going. In the top of the third, after Walker Buehler had thrown a couple of goalless innings. After letting Francisco Lindor on his foot and visibly annoyed that Lindor leaned into her, Buehler threw a clear strike when Lindor stole the second base. However, the Home Plate referee blown the call, called it a ball and prompted Buehler to make an explicit series of written lines.

Unfortunately, these lines from Buehler were the most pleasant part of the game for Mets fans. Holmes went six innings and only gave up two runs, both of whom came through Solo Homeruns, who loosened the green monster in the lower end of the fifth. He struck five and went three.

However, there is really not much to say about the installation of the meters at the moment. They only made four hits, only one of one of the additional bases, and they went three walks. The vast majority of their record appearances were not impressive, and a good part of them was almost lazy. If a double game has to be played, the METs arrive. If there is a terrible time to earth on the first field or to fly out weakly, they swing on the field and make it out.

Things get better. Even if the METS have a below -average offensive by the end of the season, this latest route has only achieved fewer than two runs per game in the last eight games.
