Suicide bombers meet the school bus in Pakistan and kill 4 children, say officials, say

Quetta, Pakistan – A suicide car bomber met a school bus in the quiet southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday and killed at least four children and injured 38 more, said a government official.

A local deputy commissioner Yasir Iqbal said that the attack was in Khuzdar, a district in the province of Belutschistan, when the bus transported children to the city.

No group immediately assumed responsibility, although suspicion is likely to fall on ethnic Belutsch separatists who often aim at security forces and civilians in the region.

Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressly condemned the attack and expressed deep grief about the children's death. He called the perpetrators “animals” who do not deserve forbearance and said the enemy had committed an act of “mere barbarism by innocent children”.

Belutschistan was a scene of a long-standing uprising, with a number of separatist groups performing attacks, including the forbidden Belutschistan liberation army, which was shown in 2019 by the United States as a terrorist organization.

The most recent attack took place after a bomb attack near a market in Qillah Abdullah, a city in the province of Belutschistan, on Afghanistan, was killed four people near a market.

Most of such attacks are claimed by Bla, from which Pakistan enjoyed the support of the neighboring India.

In one of the most deadliest such attacks in March, BLA -Referred 33 people, mainly soldiers killed, during an attack on a train with hundreds of passengers in Belutschistan.
