Motorcycle accident on the memorial bridge sends Quincy Woman to the hospital

A 35-year-old woman in Quincy, Illinois, was injured on Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on the memorial Bridge in West Quincy, said Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on May 20, 2025 at around 4:51 p.m. The authorities reported that the woman drove to the east through a construction zone with a 2005 Honda CBR motorcycle when she tried to insist. During the maneuver, the motorcycle hit a traffic cone and stormed up.

The driver did not wear a helmet at the time of the crash. She suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Adams County Ems to the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The motorcycle suffered extensive damage and was towed by Quincy Auto Salvage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was supported by the Sheriff department of Marion County, the Quincy Police Department and Adams County Ems.
