Ryan Reynolds' $ 150 million box office bomb just has the Prime Video Top 10-and this science fiction action film does not earn a second chance

If you watched the top 10 of the Prime video about the Prime video this week, it caused an undesirable flashback.

The rotating ranking of the most watched films in the popular streaming service reminded me in summer 2013 when I turned 18, tried Vodka cranberry after the first time and “Ripd” was standing in the cinemas. I am not sure what experience was more traumatic.

This science fiction blockbuster, which is available from Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, cost universal pictures of $ 150 million and shortened hardly half of his budget into cinemas. I would say that that's 50% too much, because frankly, this supernatural action comedy was lucky enough to earn a few dollars themselves.

The film is currently in the top 10 Prime Video Top 10, before “Consumer” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”, and to say that he does not earn such a high point on the list would be an understatement. If I had my way, it would be deleted from the cinematic existence.

If you wonder if it is worth adding your observation list, I will do the chase: it doesn't. However, if you are a curious guy and need to know more, “Ripd” is a blockbuster mistake that should have been buried.

What is “ripd” about?

“Ripd” or to use his ridiculous full name “Ripd: Rest in Peace Department”, Ryan Reynold's Nick Walker plays, a recently killed detective in Boston, and recruited to the afterlife agency of the same name.

The RIPD is a supernatural task force that tracks down independent spirits that have escaped the judgment. Nick will soon be with Roy (Jeff Bridges), a veteran of the department and Lawman in the old west in his previous life.

When Nick and Roy stumble across a dangerous conspiracy, the vengeful ghosts climb into the world of living, they go in search of not only to save their souls, but also to protect Nick's loved one who still lives in our reality.

With Mary-Louise Parker, Stéphanie Szostak and Robert Knepper, Kevin Bacon can also be seen as a former partner of Nick and is a buddy-cop action film with a turnaround.

Seriously, do not stream “ripd” on Prime Video

I would normally try to list at least one reason in my records that they could Find “Ripd” a worthwhile watch, but this time I didn't get anything.

Let me put it very clearly: “Ripd” is an unbroken catastrophe. It is the kind of film that makes you question why you are a film fan at all. It's a complete mess. It is interest or intrigue for shocking action spectacles and cheesy humor.

And the campaign offered is also not even pleasant in a kind of “switch-your-brain” strax. It jumps between generic science fiction places and almost unpleasant moments with some really bizarre CGI creations that let their skin crawl-and not as the filmmakers are probably intended.

Ryan Reynolds is a Nick Walker in full autopilot mode. The charismatic actor expresses endless lazy sarcastic jokes, and Nick's boring redemption arch does not come close to the connection. If you thought his performance as Hal Jordan in the faulty film “Green Lantern” was called, you haven't seen anything yet. At least Jeff Bridges tries to inject energy, but without success.

The film should clearly be a franchise starter, so it spends far too much time to establish its world in the hope that it would be revised several times in the future. The cash failure of the flick quickly brought these plans to ice, and all we got was a direct sequel to Dired-to-DVD, “Ripd 2: Rise of the Damned”, which was even worse reviews (obviously I have skipped).

Speaking of reviews, “Ripd” was not a critical darling. It considers a terrible score of 13% for rotting tomatoes. In order to bring this score into the context, it is lower than “Fifty Shades of Gray” and every single “Twilight” film. That is the degree of terrority that we are talking about here.

Even the few spectators who amazed the money to see this film in the cinemas were not impressed. The audience point of the film is 38%in pictures, which is very cheaper than the critics in view of the reviews of the entire spectator.

Watch this science fiction action film on Prime Video instead of “Ripd” instead of “ripd”

If you really need A science fiction action fix in Prime Video this week, I could suggest “The Tomorrow was”.

Now this Chris Pratt front blockbuster is my cards on the table and is not a masterpiece. It falls into many of the same traps as “Ripd” with a focus on untidy action, and it is immediately unforgettable, but at least your attention will take your attention during his two -hour term.

In the film, Chris Pratt plays a former soldier, now a teacher who gives a future war when time travelers come to today's earth to warn that an extraterrestrial invasion of the earth will tap the earth in thirty years. The Prime Video Original Movie also plays JK Simmons, Yvonne Strahovski, Betty Gilpin and Sam Richardson.

With a budget of $ 200 million, a lot of high production is packed and is at least passable entertainment. That is much more than can be said for “ripd”. So if you really want to take home a science fiction blockbuster interior skel this week, the selection for Prime video is quite obvious.
