Grace Lee leads Lambert Girls to the sixth title; GHSA Golf Championship results

Lambert's Grace Lee Schloss -9 through two rounds to lead the Longhorns to the sixth title of the program in a row and to secure the title of class 6a when the Golf Golf season of the GHSA was closed on Tuesday.

The boys from Cherokee shot +9 to win the first title of the program in a tiebreaker against the second -placed Carrollton (+9) and lowndes (+15). Ledger Conley from Richmond Hill Schoss -5 to win the individual title.

In class 5a, CreekViews Boys scored a team total from -8 to win the first title and place of the program in front of Milton (-2) and class 6a, Champion Lakeside-Evans (+11). Miltons William Long Schoss -9 to win the individual title. On the girls' side, Johns Creek won his fourth title and defended last year's championship with a score of +33. Aanya Vantipalli shot +4 to win the individual championship.

Cartersville shot -4 to win the seventh title of the program, but first since 2002, while he defeated the title 4a champion North Oconee with three shots. Benedictines Bear Dollander Schoss -10 to win the individual title. North Ocones girls made first place with a score of +60 and St. Pius X golfer Elizabeth Sullivan to win the individual title.

West Laurens' boys shot +53 to win the first title of the program in class 3a tournament, and Braceton Beasley shot +1 to lead the team. On the side of the girls, Jeffersons +52 team was good enough to win the first title of the team, and Cherokee Bluffs Alisa Pressley won the low medalist with a score of +7.

Columbus' Boys shot +11 to secure the 14th title of the program, and Brooks Urquhart scored -7 to keep the way in the 2A tournament. Columbus previously won 1945, 1947, 1948, 1955, 1958, 1967, 1972, 2010, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Pierce County's Girls shot +34 to win the seventh title of the team, and Mackenzie Connell followed with a score of +8.

Elbert County (+73) Three-shot against Bremen (+76) secure the second championship of the team and for the first time in 1966 at the A-Division I tournament of the class A division. Swainsboros Colten Lewis Schoss -1 to win the individual title. On the side of the girls, Gordon Lee won the third title of the team with a score of +56. Georgia Womack from Model shot +15 to win the individual title.

The Lake Oconee Academy swept the classes -a -division -ii tournaments with the boys who shoot -6 shoot, and the girls who count a score of +11. Luke Hylton (Brooks County) scored -9 to win the boy championship, while Lili Nelson from Lake Oconee -1 shot the girls title.

In class 1a -3a privately, Darlington Boys +26 shot to win the team's eighth championship, and first since 1994. Evan Rogers from Hebron -8 scored -8 to win the individual title of the boys for the second season in a row. Holy Innocents '+11 shot on the girls' +11 to win the second title of the team (2021). Claire Bradford from Prince Avenue won the individual title with a score of -6.
