The design of Xiaomi 16 is leaked and so it can look

Just a few months ago, India was experienced the start of the Xiaomi 15 (review) in February. While it is still a new introduction to the Indian market, the rumors about its successor – the Xiaomi 16 – have started to compete. After the latest leak, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to debut in September 2025, but only in China. For the context, the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 15 was launched in October 2024. If the assumption for the upcoming start is up to date, the two phones will have a gap of 11 months, which is fair. In his blog, Tippster Majon Bu announced that the Xiaomi 16 is a strong contender in the premium smartphone segment. Fresh leaks offer a closer look at what you can expect before your official debut. Xiaomi 16 renders reveal design

A leaked CAD render, which is shared by Tippster Maijinbu officer, shows a design that retains some visual elements from the Xiaomi 15, but introduces remarkable refrains. The back has a two -color finish, accompanied by a flash -shaped camera clay in the upper left corner. The module is home to three comrades, an LED flash and Leica branding – the ongoing cooperation between Xiaomi.

On the front, the Xiaomi 16 is represented with a flat 6.32-inch display with slim lunettes and a centered hole punch neckline for the selfie camera. The handset also seems to have slightly curved edges, which contributes to a slim and ergonomic look.

Switching on the Xiaomi 16 will probably be Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Chipset of the next generation of Qualcomm, which is to be presented in September on the Snapdragon summit. It is remarkable that the same chipset in the upcoming OnePlus 15 is presented, which makes it direct competitor. The Xiaomi 16 is also said to perform Hyperos 3, the internal software interface from Xiaomi on Android 16. This positions the Xiaomi flagship as one of the first devices worldwide that contains the latest Qualcomm flagship silicon and possibly provides larger performance and efficiency gains.

According to the render, the phone has volume controls and an on / off button on the left side, while the lower edge houses a USB Type-C connection, a loudspeaker grill and a SIM tray. Despite its compact display size, the Xiaomi 16 should pack a large 7,000-mAh battery a step, which could significantly improve the energy density and the battery life without increasing the physical footprint of the phone thanks to the introduction of the battery technology of silicon carbon (SI/C).

While Xiaomi has not yet confirmed any details, the Xiaomi 16 is expected to head a triple reversing camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor. Cooperation with Leica suggests that photography remains an important sales argument for the device.
