Mann, who was accused after Baby died of a traumatic brain injury, said MPs in North Carolina, say MPs

Fayetteville, NC (WBTV) – A baby in North Carolina died in the early this month after it suffered a “traumatic brain injury”, according to the authorities.

The deputies of the Cumberland County sheriff were called to a hospital in Fayetteeville on May 8th because of the condition of the baby, officers said. The baby, which was 8 months old, reports reportedly the next day.

The Sheriff's office began to investigate the baby's death and found that 21-year-old Darrell Lamar Evans Jr. took care of the child when the traumatic injuries took place.

Almost two weeks after the baby's death, Evans was arrested on Tuesday, May 20th. He was charged with murder in connection with the death of the baby.

An arrest warrant claimed that Evans “illegally and deliberately caused serious bodily harm to the baby”. The MPs said that an autopsy had confirmed that the baby's death was a murder.

Evans was denied after his arrest and should appear in court on May 21.

The MPs did not expressly say whether Evans was the baby's father or whether he only took care of the child.
