Video records the moment that Gerry Connolly's pass breaks during hearing

The legislators were stunned on Wednesday after they had learned from Rep. Gerry Connolly's death during a hearing on the Capitol Hill.

When the news of Connolly's death broke, a gasp was heard by a calm “Oh no” on the livestream of the hearing.

The chairman of the Virginia Foxx Committee kept shortly before the procedure and enabled the members to reflect and pray Connolly's family.

The legislature in the region mourned his loss and described him as a respected colleague and committed civil servants.

Connolly was an integral part of Virginia's policy for decades and has been in the congress since 2009. Before that, he was elected to the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in 1995 and was later in front of the chairman in 2003. In the 1980s he worked as an employee of the US Senate Committee for foreign relations.
