The United States officially accepts luxury jet from Qatar for Trump

The United States accepted a 747 Jetliner as a gift from the government of Qatar, and the Air Force was asked to find a way to improve it quickly so that it can be put into operation as a new Air Force One for President Trump, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense confirmed on Wednesday.

“The Defense Minister accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar in accordance with all federal rules and regulations,” said chief -pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell in a statement. “The Ministry of Defense will work to ensure that proper security measures and functional missions are considered for the transport of the President of the United States.”

Pentagon officers have confirmed that the aircraft, which the managers of the industry have appreciated, has a value of around 200 million US dollars before being considered safe to wear Mr. Trump in the past few days.

“Every civil aircraft will make significant changes for this,” said Troy Mink, the secretary of the Air Force, on Tuesday during the Senate's statements. “On the basis of the heading of the secretary, we are obliged and we are looking at what it will take to this specific aircraft.”

The plan has taken care of members of the congress who fears that Mr. Trump will put pressure on the Air Force to do the work so quickly that sufficient security measures are not installed on the aircraft, such as:

“If President Trump insists on converting this plane into a hardened air force before 2029, I am worried about the pressure under which they may shorten the corners for operational security,” said Senator Tammy Duckworth, Democrat of Illinois, as Mr. Mink said.
