Iuiu academic registrar's job in danger about fake final scandal

The academic chancellor of the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Dr. Halima Wakabi Akbar looks like a study fraud scandal that shaken the institution.

Sources show that the controversy dates back to a closing ceremony two years ago, in which a number of non -qualified people were incorrectly included in the final list. The problem was recently uncovered by the management of the university.

“The academic registrar was examined because she issued at least two people fake qualifications.”Reveals a source.

Among the government officials concerned is currently in Mbale, although no further details have been announced. Rehema Katono, the university's public work officer, confirmed that the university initiated an investigation into the creation of these allegations.

The rector replied by forming a committee for academic matters to examine the matter, and his results reported to the participation of the academic registrar.

The committee recommended Dr. Wakabi to clear her position, with a formal letter being published by the rector. However, Katono added that a meeting of the university's executive board was planned for Thursday to decide on the next steps.
