Dirt Biker Crash death from last week identified as a 36-year-old | Local news

The dirt Biker, who died after an accident with a single vehicle on the south side of Colorado Springs last week, was identified by the police as a 36-year-old Kaylon Thomas.

On May 12, the police officers of Colorado Springs were sent in the 1000 block of the Florence Avenue near the Southgate Road and Lake Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. and found Thomas with serious injuries. Thomas was taken to a nearby hospital, but died of his injuries.

The Colorado Springs police found that speed was a likely factor for the crash.

Thomas was the 11th traffic mortality rate in Colorado Springs this year. Last year there were 18 at the same time. There have been 42 traffic dead in the last 365 days.
