The judge orders a simultaneous punishment for the latest violent crime by Kanawha County Man

Clendenin, W.Va. – A judge of the Kanawha district condemned a clendious man for a maximum of six more years after a previously guilty plea was guilty of attacking a former friend.

William Heath

The 44 -year -old William Heath was sentenced to 1 to 5 years on Thursday, after he was guilty in April, to make strangulation and one year guilty of violating a protective arrangement.

The attack took place last August in a residence in the Main Street in Elkview.

Health Bat Kanawha County Circuit Judge Maryclaire Akers to agree on his new prison period with convictions for separate charges.

“I have a 75-year-old father who needs me out there, and I have a fiancee who has a two-year-old boy who needs a daddy personality. He needs me in his life,” said Heath in a team that calls out of the state prison.

Akers denied the request.

“I cannot become a clear conscience that gives you simultaneous sentences or recognition for the serving time,” said Akers. “I have to take into account that they have already been convicted of a crime when these new charges were created.”

Heath's criminal register comprises nine arrests of crimes and a number of arrests of the offense.

Heath said he was the one who was attacked. He said he shouldn't have taken the law into his own hands.

“I sleep well because I only tried to help myself. I'm sorry that I really didn't know what I was doing at the time,” he said.

The victim also said. She said Heath that he hurt her, but she could continue.
