Team Penske Sacks Indycar Trio via Indy 500 fraud scandal

Team Penske has announced the dismissal of three most important members of their Indycar operation, including Team President Tim Cindric.

The team's Indycar managing director, Ron Ruzewski, and General Manager of Indycar, Kyle Moyer, were also displaced by Roger Penske when he clears the house before the Indy 500.

The step has been coming after the second fraud scandal of the team for as many years, whereby Power and 2024 Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden have relegated to the racer for the race after they were found on their cars in qualifying with illegally modified parts.

Some in sports, in view of the team's technical violations of this new incident, calls for harder, barely a year after the push-to-pass scandal 2024 at the start of the season and the fact that Jacob Abel from Dale Coyne Racing was found by apparently illegal cars on Sunday from Sunday.

Penske accuses 'organizational failure' for scandal

Cindric and Ruzewski had already been exposed to Indycar for the race and both teams with a fine of $ 100,000.

The loss of Cindric may be the most important feeling for the team who has spent 25 years with the organization, first as President of Penske Racing Inc., before he was promoted to President of Penske Performance in 2005 and essentially runs the everyday life of all racing operations of the organization.

He took a big step back in the organization in February, which he had his own decision at that time, but had remained President of the Indycar team by Wednesday.

In an explanation, Roger Penske said: “Nothing is more important than the integrity of our sport and our racing team. We have had organizational failures in the past two years and have had to make necessary changes. I apologize to our fans, our partners and our organization because they have let them down.”
