The rival of Seattle Mariners, who deals with another injury problem before the huge weekend series

Chicago -When the Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros start a four series series on Thursday evening in Houston, they will do it at the opposite ends of the injury spectrum.

The Mariners will get the all-star starter George Kirby back from the right shoulder inflammation, and the Astros are without Ronel Blanco, who is now dealing with elbow pain.

According to Julia Morales, reporter of Astros, Blanco was sent back to Houston to look at team doctors. The Astros had played against the Tampa Bay Rays in Tampa.

Blanco, 28, is 3-4 this season with an ERA of 4.10. Although he made his debut in the Major League in 2022, he really stormed into the stage in 2024 and reached an ERA of 2.80 13: 6. He even threw a no-grille at the beginning of the 2024 campaign.

Unfortunately, Blanco is only the latest in a series of pitching injuries for Houston. Cristian Javier and Luis Garcia are still emerging as a result of a Tommy John operation, while Hayden Wesneski will undergo his own operation. Jose Urquidy, who is no longer in the organization, also had Tommy John last year, and JP France is also on the road with a shoulder injury.

Lance McCullers Jr., who is now back, missed all seasons 2023 and 2024 because of his own arm problems.

The Mariners will compete in XX-XX on Thursday and first place in the American League West. The Astros are XX-XX.

These two teams have already met three times this season, and Seattle won two out of three games in T-Mobile Park.

The first pitch on Thursday is 5.10 p.m. PT.
