A 19-year-old man and a teenager were charged and may be exposed to hate criminal counts after a woman was seriously injured in a suspected attack against LGBTQ+ at an McDonald's in Carpentersville, the authorities said.

A second suspect, a youth who was not identified, is also charged with the incident.

Kammrad was arrested on May 17th. The young person turned to the day before on May 16.

The Carpentersville police said the two suspects made derogatory comments on the sexual orientation of the woman as they passed her and triggered a confrontation that escalated into a physical struggle.

The woman identified in a gofundme as a Kady grass suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.
