Mark Scheifele leaves against blues with obvious injury

The Winnipeg jets have to cross through their star player.

Center Mark Scheifele left the 5th game 5 on Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues before the second period and was excluded at the beginning of the third.

It is unclear when Scheifele suffered an injury, but he was at the end of a difficult hit by Blues captain Brayden Schnn in the first.

Playing without the 32-year-old would be a big loss for the jets who would like to round by for the first time in 2021. The striker has six points (two goals, four templates) through five games in this post -season, including support for Kyle Connors.

Scheifele took 39 goals and a career high of 87 points to lead Winnipeg into the Presidents Trophy.

Before his departure from the game, Scheifele played 8:05.
