Oklahoma defeated Georgia 3-2

Kyson Witherspoon was electrical when the Oklahoma Sooners won 3-2 in the second round of the Sec tournament.

Kyson Witherspoon stole the show in this and set up 7.2 innings from two runs with eight strikeouts. Witherspoon only gave up one run in his start in the regular season against the bulldogs and continued this success today.

The Georgia starter JT Quinn also had a solid excursion that set up 4 innings with one-run ball. Quinn played incredibly in the second game this season.

Georgia took over a 1-0 lead in the third when Ryland Zaborowski scored a victim fly by Slate Alford. Oklahoma immediately replied in the fourth victim with a victim fly from Brayden Horton to tie the game.

Ethan Carmichael brought the sixth inning, followed by a double of Jaxon Willits. Dayton Tockey gave the Sooners the lead with an RBI Groundout, and Brayden Horton expanded the lead with an RBI single and scored the score 3-1.

With two outs in the bottom of the eighth case, Henry Hunter crushed a solo homerun to cut the guidance of Oklahoma into half. This was Hunter's tenth home of the season and only the sixth home run that Oklahoma Ace Kyson Witherspoon gave up this season.

Dylan Crooks threw a goalless inning to close the game in the ninth for the Sooners. Georgia will now search for the selection on Monday to see where they are sown in the NCAA tournament. Uga is in a great position to get a top 8 national seed.
