2 employees of the Israel message who were killed at the shootout near the Jewish Museum in Washington

Two employees of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, were shot as an act of anti -Semitic terrorism in an incident described by Israeli officials on Wednesday evening near the Jewish Museum.

The shootout occurred only a few steps from the FBI autile service in the northwest of DC from the FBI office. Kristi Noem, Secretary of the US Homeland Security, confirmed the deaths in a post on X and explained that an active examination is in the go and that the federal authorities coordinate with the local law enforcement authorities to determine the complete circumstances.

“Two employees of the Israeli embassy were senselessly killed this evening near the Jewish Museum in Washington DC. We are investigating actively and are working to get further information about sharing. Please pray for the families of the victims. We will bring this spoiled perpetrator to justice.

The victim's identity was not published, but local reports claim that both people were associated with the Israeli diplomatic mission in the United States. The Israeli embassy recognized the incident, but has not published an explanation, except confirming that the ambassador was not present at the time of the attack.

The police in Washington DC reacted to the scene shortly after the shootout was reported. A police spokesman said the officers had secured the scope around the museum and were looking for witnesses and surveillance material.

According to reports, the Capital Jewish Museum, which was opened in 2023 at its current location, organized an event that was organized at the time of the shootout by the American Jewish Committee (AJC). The CEO of the AJC, Ted Deutch, gave up an explanation and said: “We are destroyed that an unspeakable act of violence took place outside the event location.”

The US general Prosecutor Pam Bondi and the incumbent US lawyer of the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro reported reported shortly after the incident.
