Mother of Caleb Ramirez testifies to the illegal death process

The mother of an 8-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a truck last year in Phar said she lost the time with her son before he died.

Sonia Hernandez said on Wednesday on the second day of the court proceedings for the death of Caleb Hernandez.

The lawsuit was submitted in July 2024 after a Grand jury County County rejected the driver of a GMC Sierra, from which the police were beating and killed.

Sonia said Caleb achieved perfect points in two school tasks when he died on April 26, 2024, and Caleb would be brought to Peter Piper Pizza the following day to celebrate.

Instead, Sonia saw her son on his bike in the 700 block of the East Eller Street near her house before he died.

Sonia said when the crash took place around 7:30 p.m., Caleb suffocated his blood after the crash, and an eye had jumped out of the impact from his socket.

When Caleb was taken to the hospital, Sonia said that a pharmaceutical police officer refused to have her go to the hospital with him, and told her she should go on her own journey.

Sonia finally went to another hospital. She could later arrive to the hospital where Caleb was, where he was declared dead at 8:01 p.m.

The members of the jury were visibly emotional during Sonia's statement.

The Pharm Police Authority, the driver of the truck, from which the Caleb police did and killed, and the relatives of the truck driver are described as a defendant in the lawsuit for illegal death. Calebs family is looking for damages of 1 million US dollars.

Alex Castillo, who was previously identified as the driver of the truck at the time of the crash, said on Tuesday. The police previously said that Castillo had no license at the time of the crash.

Chevy Flores by Pharchar Police Detective testified on Wednesday. He said the final report came to the conclusion that Castillo had driven down the block after driving Caleb before stopping.

Flores said he had checked security recordings of the crash and asked if he had a indication that Castillo entered the vehicle's brakes.

Flores said no.

Castillos Mother Aurea was also called to the stand.

However, she refused to answer several questions, including whether her son had permission to drive the truck even though she had no license.
