Gladwin Co. Sheriff, 87-year-old man who is involved in the crash

Gladwin Co., me. (WNEM) – The sheriff of Gladwin County was involved in an accident on Tuesday, April 22nd.

The Gladwin County's sheriff office said on Tuesday at 8 a.m., the MPs were called against West M-61 in the municipality of Buckeye to crash by Sheriff Mike Shea and an 87-year-old man.

The Sheriff's office said when the MPs arrived, they found that the crash was due to a patrol vehicle driven by Shea with Gladwin County and a GMC Sierra Pickup from 2002.

In an investigation, it was found that Shea was stopped on the east lane by W. M-61 and was waiting for a vehicle to turn left into a shop. The driver of the pick-up also drove to the east to the west M-61 in the east and could not stop, the Sheriff's office said.

Shea tried to avoid the crash by turning into the driveway of the community of Christ Church, but his patrol car was hit. The office of the sheriff said that it came to rest in the ditch at the side of the church with great damage to the right side.

After the collision with the patrol vehicle, the pick -up went south from the street into the courtyard of the church, hit the church of the church, continued to south over the south over the church, wested over the parking lot of the church and finally came to a standstill after collapsing with a power supply rod.

The crash broke the power stable, which had a transformer and power lines. It fell into the parking lot near the truck, and the collection could only be moved until the energy consumers removed the transformer and the power lines, said the Sheriff's office.

The collection had front-end damage after the crash.

The Sheriff's office said that the driver of the pick -up was safely removed from the truck before the criminal prosecution was arrived, and he and Shea were both brought to the Gladwin Mymichigan Hospital for minor injuries.
