Search for SUV drivers for the critically injured cyclist at hit-and-run crash

Nashville, Tenn. (WSMV)-A woman is in a critical condition after having a fall in Antioch in Antioch on Wednesday evening.

Officials from the Metro Nashville police authority told the WSMV that an SUV ran a bike at around 10:30 p.m. on the Bell Road. According to reports, the driver of the SUV did not stop after he had hit the cyclist.

MNPD said that the female victim had suffered life -threatening injuries and was brought to a regional hospital in a critical condition.

The police believe that the suspect's vehicle may be a red SUV that is based on ruins from the crash. A search for the vehicle and its driver is in progress.

The crash closed the Bell Road between Rice Road and Hickory Highlands Drive, while the police continue to research.
