Driver killed, youthful in the concord crash brought to the hospital: CHP

The California Highway Patrol examines an accident in Concord on Tuesday afternoon, in which a driver was dead, injured another driver and a passenger in teen age was seriously injured.

Chp Contra Costa Area Officers reacted to Kirker Pass and Hess Roads about a crash with a Ford Fusion and a Toyota Sienna around 5:25 p.m.

The Ford was driven by a 26-year-old woman with a 14-year-old boy in the passenger seat, and the Toyota Sienna was driven by another woman who was of herself.

Officials said the Ford driver was stopped at the intersection of the Hess Road west and tried to turn a left to the Kirker Pass Road towards the south, but drove to the way to the Toyota Sienna, which drove north on the Kirker Pass Road.

The woman who drove the Ford died at the crime scene, and the teenager was flown to a hospital with serious injuries, officers said.

The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital with ambulances.
