According to Contra Costa County, two people are dead in the city of Brentwood after a chief-on-crash.

The contra Costa County Fire Protection District was sent to a report on a vehicle accident in the SR-4 and the Balfour Road, in which a vehicle allegedly went into oncoming traffic and met another vehicle. It was reported that a person was caught and the vehicle caught fire and began to start a grass fire.

At 10:28 p.m., the fire department of Contra Costa County reported that a person was passed away at the crime scene. County Hazmat was asked to the scene due to the electric vehicle in flames.

At 10:34 p.m., firefighter said that a second person had also died. They also waited for County Hazmat to come on site.
